Equanimous Jones: Japan Relief

Watch the video on YouTube - For Japan (Nihon no tame ni)
How $0.99 can help make a difference in Japan... On March 11, 2011 the island of Japan was hit by the strongest earthquake in its recorded history. As musicians, we responded the best way we could - creating music for this time of recovery. The Equanimous Jones Quartet composed the song "Nihon no tame ni (For Japan)" to assist with Japan relief. The song accompanies the video which illustrates the harsh conditions immediately following the earthquake and tsunami, as well as the relief efforts that sprung quickly into action. It's the best way we know to participate - composing and producing music to reflect the mood of a nation. Hopefully, it will make a difference in the pain and suffering of the Japanese people. Knowing that the recovery efforts in Japan will continue for many months, we decided to make the audio track available for purchase on CD Baby, Itunes, Amazon MP3 and MySpaceMusic (other sites should have it soon). And, knowing the economic conditions that everyone's dealing with, we wanted to price it so that just about everyone could participate in the project. We'll donate our full share to the relief efforts in Japan. It's not a lot, but we know it will make a difference.
